Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Swing School, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

Swing School has two sides. There is a library of golf instruction video courses, which you buy and watch, with new courses added over time. There is also 1:1 coaching, where you send a recording of your golf swing to a coach and they send back a review with their voice and their drawings over it.

You can use Swing School through our iOS app, through our web app at app.swingschool.com, and through this website. Coaching is bought on the web only.

3. Your account

You sign in with your phone number and a code we text you. You are responsible for keeping access to that phone number secure, since it is what proves an account is yours. One account per person.

4. The Pass (lifetime access)

The Pass is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It unlocks access to all current and future Swing School courses for the lifetime of the service.

"Lifetime" means the operational lifetime of Swing School. If we ever need to discontinue the service, we will provide reasonable advance notice.

5. Refunds

All in-app purchases are processed by Apple. Apple handles refund requests through the App Store, and the final decision rests with Apple. We honor any refund Apple grants.

To request a refund, use Apple's "Report a Problem" page at reportaproblem.apple.com. As a courtesy guideline, we support refund requests made within 14 days of purchase, but Apple has the final say.

6. Restrictions on use

The Pass is for personal viewing only. You may not:

• Redistribute, share, or resell course content.
• Screen-record courses or stream them publicly for redistribution.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app.
• Use the service to build a competing product.

6a. Your content, and who sees it

If you work with a coach, you send us content: swing videos, photos, messages and files. That content stays yours. You give us permission to store it and to show it to the people who need to see it so the service works, and nothing more.

Who that is, exactly:

• Your coach sees the swings you send them and your conversation with them. No other coach on Swing School can see you.
• Our support team can open any coaching relationship on Swing School, including the conversation, the swings and the reviews, so we can answer your questions, look into reports, and stand behind what happens on the platform. Every time a support person opens one, we record who opened it and when.
• No other student can ever see your swings, your reviews, or your conversation. There is no public feed here.

You must not send content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, or that belongs to someone else. You can report anything another person sends you, and you can block them, from inside the app. We may remove content that breaks these terms and may end an account that keeps doing it.

7. Intellectual property

All Swing School course content, including video, written material, branding, and the app itself, is owned by Swing School or its licensors. The Pass grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view the content. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying material.

8. Account termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, attempt to redistribute content, or engage in fraudulent activity.

9. Disclaimer

Swing School is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Our golf instruction is informational. It is not a substitute for in-person coaching, a fitness program tailored to you, or medical advice. If you have a health condition or injury, consult a qualified professional before practicing. Practice safely.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Swing School is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for The Pass (or other in-app purchase), if any.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and post material changes in-app. Continued use of Swing School after a change means you accept the updated terms.
